Robert Milton Kramer, 84, Sturgeon Bay passed away on March 3, 2012 at the Golden Living Nursing Center. He was born on March 8, 1927 in Door County to Milton & Lillian (Gerlach) Kramer. He served in the Navy from 1945 – 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1951. He married Lucille Ann Walther on Sept 27, 1952. They celebrated 53 years together before she passed away on Dec 19, 2004. He worked in the shipbuilding industry for over 40 years and retired in 1989. He always loved spending time with his family, playing horseshoes, fishing, bowling and taking long walks with his dogs. He will be sadly missed by all.
He is survived by 8 children, Gail (John) Chadek, Kathie (Bryan) Burwell, Steve (Pam) Kramer, Mark (Kim) Kramer, Paula (Mike) Cline, Jody (Tobey) Andropolis, Bob (Penny) Kramer Jr., Karl (Susie) Kramer; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 brother Garwyn (Judy) Kramer; 2 sisters, Gerry (Donald) Wendt and Sharon (Orville) Paschke. Robert is preceded in death by one brother David, and 4 sisters June, Shirley, Patsy and Gladys.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Any memorials for Robert Kramer can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association via the Door County Ministry Memory Clinic in his name.
