Randy Schultz Obituary

Randy Schultz, 75, of Sevastopol, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2026, with his family, special friends, and the compassionate staff of the ICU at Aurora BayCare by his side. Randy was born March 4,1950, in Colby, WI to Jerome and Elaine (Haas) Schultz. After graduating from Colby High School, he entered the service and proudly served in the Army in Vietnam. His experience left a lasting memory not to be forgotten.

After returning to his hometown after the service, he worked for many for his aunts and uncles on their farms and spent time with his family and friends fishing, hunting, and playing many card games and cribbage talking the night away.

Randy then headed to Door County to make it his home. He married Linda Pfister in December of 1984. Randy was never a man to just sit.  He loved being outside, surrounded by everything he enjoyed.  There was always lots to do including: fishing, hunting, lots of walks with his family and pets and talking to anyone who was willing to listen.

Randy’s jobs consisted of anything physical and outside that included construction work and tree service. He eventually started up a small business, 911 Lawn Care and Landscaping. Randy was also a Sevastopol First Responder and an Egg Harbor Firefighter.  Above all, he was a very proud veteran who took pride in the flag and everything it stands for!  On Sundays, you would find Randy in his Packers attire watching his team. Win or lose, they were his team!

Randy is survived by his wife Linda of 40 years, daughter Valarie (Ryan) Fisher, Union Grove, WI,  a son Jeremy of Sevastopol; siblings: Sally (Jerry) Heindl Stetson Ville, WI, Kathy (Arlyn)Telford, Colby, WI, Amy (Mark) Underwood, Chippewa Falls, WI and Steve Schultz, Colby, WI; and many cousins nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Elaine Schultz, his nephew Mitchell Telford, his mother and father-in-law Melvin and Nancy Pfister, and his sister-in-law Mary Lou Pfister.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Forbes Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.  Military honors will be conducted at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.

Randy was a fighter, never giving up on anything or anyone and appreciated spending time with all his family members; he especially enjoyed the warm summer firepit gatherings by his son Jeremy.  Randy enjoyed and appreciated anyone who took time to stop and visit. Special thanks to the Sevastopol First Responders, Door County EMS, Aurora BayCare ICU staff and family and friends of Randy for being there in his time of need. Memorials can be made in Randy's honor to #Warrior Violet go fund me page. Violet is a Sevastopol 3rd grader fighting cancer and I know he would want her to fight and win this battle.
